The Village Doctor

Service rates

The Village Doctor is a fee-for-service medical practice, and payment is expected at the time of service.

Office visits: We have a standard office fee for patient visits. Any additional charges for tests will be discussed with you before they are administered. Please contact us for more information about our rates.

Internet consultations: The Village Doctor offers Internet consultations for routine questions. This service is available to anyone within the USA.

In-home visits: The Village Doctor makes house calls, and the charge is dependent on travel time and time of day. Just ask.

Doctors are patients, too at times, and Dr. Newman is well aware of the high cost of medical care today in the United States. He will always try to provide quality care at a reasonable charge. If you have any questions about fees, please call the office, and Dr. Newman or Sharon will be happy to discuss them with you.

Forms of payment accepted

Patients can pay using cash, check, credit or debit cards. In order to keep our administrative costs to a bare minimum, we do not send statements.

For patients with insurance

For many insured patients, we are less expensive than going to the walk-in center or emergency room.

Payment is expected at the time of service. If you have an insurance deductible, simply save your receipts and apply them toward the deductible. If you have traditional coverage with a co-pay only, you should ask your insurance carrier how your plan covers visits to out of network providers, then calculate your costs based on our menu prices.

Most insurance companies require an itemized receipt and a claim form in order to reimburse patients. The necessary paperwork will be available at the office at the time of your appointment. Dr. Newman is a participating provider with Medicare and TRICARE Standard.
